FlexCare Extended Care Plus

Coverage for more than 800 major components. It builds on Extended Care with brakes, key electrical parts, suspension, and many of the power features you use every day.

WHAT PLUS COVERS

Everything in Extended Care, plus selected components in these systems:

• Brakes: master cylinder, power assist booster, ABS pump motor assembly, wheel cylinders, wheel bearing assemblies, sensors and relays

• Electrical: engine, powertrain, transmission and body control modules; alternator; starter; fuel pump; radiator and water pump; wiring harnesses; factory-installed radios and speakers; wiper motors

• Instrument panel: electronic instrument cluster, speedometer, tachometer and gauges

• Power & luxury features: power window and seat motors, power door locks, rear defroster, keyless entry module, cruise control servo, power sunroof motor, electric mirrors

• Suspension: front control arms and ball joints, shock absorbers, rear springs, sway bar parts

 

What Plus doesn't include (but Premium does): the Body, Manual Interior Mechanisms, and Safety & Security groups, plus many additional electrical and technology items such as the Uconnect® hands-free system, satellite radio, ParkSense® and heated-seat modules.

EXTRA BENEFITS BUILT IN

• 24-hour towing & roadside help: towing, flat-tire change (using your good spare), jump-starts, out-of-gas delivery (up to 2 gallons) and lockout service, up to $100 per occurrence

• First Day Rental: a $45 rental or taxi allowance when your vehicle is at the dealership for same-day mechanical repair or maintenance (not bodywork)

• Car Rental Allowance: up to $45 a day when a covered failure leaves your vehicle undrivable overnight (per-occurrence limits apply)

• Trip Interruption: up to $1,000 toward lodging, meals and a rental car if a covered breakdown happens more than 100 miles from home

• Key fob coverage: up to three repairs or replacements ($600 total) on many plans. Ask us about yours.

ELIGIBILITY & TERMS

New vehicles within 3 yrs/36k mi of the warranty start date; Certified Pre-Owned under 75,000 miles; pre-owned up to 10 model years and under 150,000 miles (125,000 for vehicles with 5-yr/60k-mi powertrain warranties). Several terms (up to 8 yrs/125k mi) and deductibles available.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

• A FlexCare plan is a vehicle service contract. It works alongside your factory warranty; it isn't the same thing.

• Coverage applies to covered components that fail. Maintenance items, wear items, damage and pre-existing problems are generally not covered. Your contract lists every exclusion.

• Keep your vehicle maintained per the owner's manual and save your receipts.

• A deductible may apply per repair visit, depending on the option you choose.

• In most cases you can transfer remaining coverage when you sell (a transfer fee may apply) or cancel for a prorated refund. See your contract for details.
